How long does it take to have a web site designed?

What is a URL?
URL stands for "Universal Resource Locator". This is the address typed into a web browser to view a web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in http://www.motechsystems.com to access our home page.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register. For example, our domain name is "motechsystems.com". We can also register your unique domain name for you.
What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a service that "stores" your site and makes it available on the internet. We also provide web hosting for our clients.
My site is currently hosted with another provider and would like to switch to your web hosting. How do I do this?
Just fill out an inquiry and we will take care of everything. We will transfer your domain name along with all of your existing web sites content.
Can I choose you to design my site and use my own web hosting?
Yes. We can publish your site with any hosting service. It is very important to understand that all hosting providers are not created equal. The development of your site will depend on the services and features that your hosting provider offers.
What is site maintenance?
Maintenance is considered to be updating your web site with new content that you provide or adding such things as (pages, graphics, designs, etc). Most other web design companies charge a monthly fee for maintenance whether you need it or not. We only charge for actual maintenance we perform when you request it.
Why can't I find my web site on search engines?
Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines they may require several weeks, or even months to actually list your web site in their directory. How fast your site is listed depends on each individual Search Engines database update schedule. We automatically submit your site to all major search engines after it is completed and published.
Web Site Content - What Do I Put On My Site?
That would depend on the goals of your web site. If you run a business website you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers would need. This is often the most difficult part for clients with brand new web sites. It may take you a while to decide what content you want and how it should be displayed.
Can I view my web site design as it is in progress?
We always place your web site on a temporary server which you can access during the development process. It is very important for us to get your feedback during this process to ensure you get exactly what you want.
How many changes can I make to the web site once I view the first design sample?
You can make as many changes as you wish to the design template. We encourage clients to give plenty of feedback so that we can get the design template(s) established as soon as possible.
